Reading and Writing: For the month of January we will be focusing on the letters Qq, Rr, Ss, Tt and Uu. The new High Frequency Words are me, with, she, see and look . 

Religion: We will be learning about God's love and the people he gives us to love, such as our families.

Math: We will continue to work on number sense including the ordinal numbers: 1st/ first, 2nd/ second, etc.

Science: We will continue our study of land, air and water with a specific focus on caring for these natural  resources- through reusing, recycling and conservation.

Social Studies: We will study January holidays and events.  While also learning about some arctic animals. 

 Helpful Hints:

* Practice writing your first and last name.  (This month  we will begin writing both first and last names on all of our schoolwork.)

*Each student should bring in 2 packs of 24 count crayons for their 2 workboxes. 

*Reread your old decodable readers.

*Practice writing sentences using our high frequency words.

1/3-School resumes

1/16-No School (MLK Jr. Day)

1/27-Jeans Day

1/30-Report Cards are sent home

2/10 and 2/17- No School for Kindergarten due to screening.

The Home for Little Wanderers Donations: Thank you for all the December donations!  In January we will be collecting shampoo and conditioner.  Thank you again for all your help and support!
